Devlog #6: Playtesting!

Our beta has now been officially released!

Week of Mar 6th - 10th

🤖 CS Gang Updates

This week we had a lot of playtesting, which resulted in a GIANT list of changes that will make our puzzles more interesting to play, as well as more fun to play.

The red door region of the "Complex" Puzzle Level had some finicky parts in it, because there was glass doors that people could see through, but players were unsure if they were supposed to open it. Additionally, there was a lot of confusion on where to place plants, so we definitely needed something more "noticeable" in the puzzles to prompt players to place the plants there.

The whole 2nd level needs to be overhauled because of it's prototype stage, which may detract from a player's understanding of the level itself. For example, lighting coming out of walls might've created artificial barriers to the player's understanding of the level. Thus, level art will be a main focus for the upcoming Beta release. The camera sensitivity received feedback that it needs to be much more sensitive, so it is now a major focus for the team. The music was also said to be a little bit too repetitive, so we're hoping the music team can produce something less repetitive!
